SALIXDATA needed a short, simple animation to quickly explain what RPA is, and the value that RPA brings to potential and existing clients.
RPA stands for Robotic Process Automation. RPA implementation is very flexible and can be used in lots of different ways, however it can often be conflated with other kinds of robotic automation when trying to explain it. In this case, the animations target was a narrow band of specific users.
This project had a 3 business day (5 actual days) turn-around. Typical animations might take a week or more, and usually have some time for pre-production refinement. The deadline was a fixed date because the animation was going to be a crucial part of a presentation being given.
This hard deadline dictated a number of production considerations.
Because of time and budget, the animation was kept to just dynamic text. Everything was built around a tight edit of the final V.O. The script was written, sent to the V.O. professional, and the animation was built around the final edit of the V.O. track once it was received.
This was done to keep all the bottlenecks in one place, and meet the deadline.
