In 2019, Arkadiance developed new packaging and needed updated product images for the web and promotional materials.
The new logo, and each of the 14 labels were designed and prepped for production by me. They were printed at Eurostampa North America, INC, international label specialist we were fortunate to be able to leverage.
Once we had late stage press proofs, we used those for the new product photography. Photos were taken both in-studio and outside and the resultant images were edited extensively by me.
Exterior shots were edited in a dramatic style, to contrast with the in-studio shots. Since most outdoor shots had the same background, color was used to make each more distinct.
In-Studio isolation shots of each product were edited for color, shape, and lighting. Shadows, bubbles, spot highlights, and mirror reflections were all added in post production.
For the groupings, bundles, and full product lineup shots, I made composites using the isolation shots of each individual product. This allowed for precise positioning of each product, and was more efficient and consistent than editing specific group shots.
Making sure the products cast shadows, were appropriately transparent, and bounced light, color, and saturation onto other packages in the scene was particularly important to achieve believable results.
